Glyrics.com.ng – Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy

Introduction

This policy is designed to implement the procedures outlined in 17 U.S.C. Section 512 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) for reporting alleged copyright infringement. Glyrics.com.ng (“the Company”) is committed to respecting the legitimate rights of copyright owners, their agents, and representatives. Users of the Company’s services are required to comply with applicable copyright laws.

To exercise your DMCA rights, you must send a proper DMCA Notice to the following Designated Agent:

This email address is designated exclusively for copyright infringement claims. Inquiries not related to copyright issues will not receive a response.

Upon receiving a proper notification of claimed infringement, the Company will adhere to the procedures outlined in this policy and the DMCA.

To file a copyright infringement claim, the following elements must be included in your notice:

  1. An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list of such works if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notice.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed or disabled, with information reasonably sufficient to permit the Company to locate the material.
  4. Contact information for the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Failure to include all of the above information may delay the processing of your DMCA notification.

Notice and Takedown Procedure

Glyrics.com.ng expects all users to comply with copyright laws. Upon receiving proper notification of claimed copyright infringement, the Company will respond expeditiously by removing or disabling access to the material if it determines that the claims are valid. The Company will comply with the DMCA’s provisions if a counter-notification is received.

Please allow at least three business days for the processing of any complaint or counter-notification. Sending your complaint to other parties, such as our Internet Service Provider, will not expedite the process and may delay the response.

Repeat Infringers

Under appropriate circumstances, Glyrics.com.ng may terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

Accommodation of Standard Technical Measures

Glyrics.com.ng will accommodate and not interfere with standard technical measures deemed reasonable under the circumstances. These measures are used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works.
